A sturdy upstand is crucial for a watertight result. Since every project is different, we offer two versions. Are you aiming for maximum reliability, durability, and an extremely strong construction? Then choose our Premium version of WBP Plywood. The Premium WBP upstand offers key advantages over OSB:
Moisture resistant: While OSB quickly absorbs moisture, swells at the edges, and delaminates, WBP-bonded wood remains intact when exposed to moisture. This prevents costly future re-installations.
Structurally stronger: WBP is significantly more dimensionally stable. This is crucial for screw retention and long-lasting load-bearing capacity with heavy roof windows (such as triple glazing).
White primed: The moisture-repellent primer protects during the construction phase, ensures more even adhesion of your roofing, and increases airtightness against condensation and drafts.
Is budget the main factor for your job? Then our Budget version in OSB is a fine and cost-effective alternative that, after being made watertight with roofing, provides a reliable base.
