Many suppliers cut costs by using standard tempered glass. But what happens if it breaks? It can shatter into thousands of sharp pieces falling downwards. This often does not meet safety standards (EN 12600) for overhead glazing. At Premium Skylights, safety comes first. Our skylights are equipped as standard with laminated safety glass. This is the same technology used in car windshields: in case of breakage, the glass remains bonded to the interlayer. This prevents shards from falling and makes forced entry significantly more difficult.

The skylight was delivered quickly and the driver helped us out. The panel was well packed in a wooden frame, making the skylight easier to lift. Due to the weight of 105 kilos, it is advisable to place the skylight with three or four people.
